Retired neurosurgeon, Ben Carson, has confirmed that he will run for the seat of the President of the United States in 2016.
Dr. Carson who has never run for public office will seek the Republican presidential nomination next year.
“I’m willing to be part of the equation and therefore, I’m announcing my candidacy for president of the United States of America,” he said in an interview aired Sunday night.
He is set to make a more formal announcement on Monday.
