Three men in court for allegedly stealing a Tricycle (AKA Keke Napep)
Three men have allegedly stolen a keke and they have been
arraigned by the police before an Ebute Metta Magistrate’s Court. Are you

The suspects are Godwin Ogbonna, 23, Salaudeen Gafar, 20, and Ogbonna Onyebuchi, 25.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the tricycle was initially given to Ogbonna on hire purchase. The complainant, Joe Onyekachi, had reported the case to the police when his tricycle was not found.
He said the agreement between him and Ogbonna was a remission of N15,000 monthly.
It was gathered that when Ogbonna was arrested, he led the police to the other two.
Our correspondent learnt that it was Onyebuchi who drove the tricycle when it was lost.
The Prosecutor, Onaiwu Iyobosa, brought the defendants before the court’s magistrate, Mr. Tunbosun Bolarinwa, on two counts bordering on stealing.
The charge reads, “That you, Godwin Ogbonna, Salaudeen Gafar and Ogbonna Onyebuchi, with others at large, on December 4, at about 5.30pm, along Park Road Apapa, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did steal one tricycle wheeler, popularly known as Keke NAPEP valued at N450,000,property of one Joe Onyekachi, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 285(10)of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.”
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The counsel to the defendants, Mr F.S. Oladele, applied for the defendants’ bail in liberal terms.
Bolarinwa admitted them to bail in the sum of N100,000 each.
The case was adjourned till January 21, 2014.
