Why is George Zimmerman Guarding a Gun Store?

Zimmerman told the officer that "he was watching the business due to a recent burglary" and that his friend, the store's owner, Pat Johnson, had asked him to do that, according to the DeLand police report seen by Mashable. Johnson told WKMG Local 6 that Zimmerman has been "patrolling" the store but that he's not been hired. Sam Porter, an employee at the store, confirmed that Zimmerman is not an employee and he's not being paid, reading a statement from Johnson.
